New Year’s Redsolutions
To do something each week that makes absolutely no sense, but reawakens every one of my senses
To laugh as much as possible at impossibility
To claim ecstasy as my birthright
To dance the way a star explodes, a baby yawns, an angel groans, a wave crashes, a Universe fucks, a Sera moves
To soak my ego in Love’s drool
To serve Her by serving my Self (so I can truly serve others),
to love Her by loving myself (so I can truly love others)
To spread eagle my convictions
To claim my wants, needs, desires, shadows, issues, quirks, fears, freckles as Holy
To give without abandoning myself
To completely redvolutionize my sexuality
To sleep with as many deities as possible..and some angels..and maybe some demons… if they use the proper protection
To speak my truth, even when it feels like a lie
To let the divine undress every inch of me before a roaring fire
To turn On as many people as possible (we have way too many “spiritual” things turning us off)
To allow abundance to attack my life
To have a tawdry, passionate, intensely authentic threesome with Me, My Self, and I
To direct the first spiritual film ever to be partially funded by a sex toy company
To unleash a Red that beckons and giggles between the thighs of Heaven and Hell
To play play play play play play play play play play play play
To let Love show me what I’m truly made of… again and again and again

what does this mean?? what does it really mean in regards to living my life?? don’t get me wrong, it is beautiful and poetic… but then i turn around and my kids are screaming, and i have bills i can’t pay, and the last thing on earth i desire is someone seeing me naked. i am not being a jerk. i read your words and they make me cry. i want some of that. i need some of that.. but what? what do you mean? how, in every day life, do i make these resolutions a reality this year??

I don’t know. I wish I knew, KNEW-knew, but I don’t. Maybe, with all your responsibilities and burdens right now, Sera’s resolutions seem impossible to you. (They seem pretty daunting to me, and I don’t have the responsibilities you do!)
But maybe there’s a way you can sneak a tiny bit of Redvolution into your day. Just a teeny, tiny bit. If I’m totally soured on, well, everything, there are still a couple of things that can make me laugh deeply enough that I swear, I feel like a little bit of goddess is trying to tell me, “Relax, it’s going to be okay.” Watching the holy hand grenade sketch from Monty Python’s Holy Grail does it. A few old cartoons do it for me, too. Something funny on ICANHASCHEEZBURGER.com. Would starting somewhere in that neighborhood be a workable start for you? Or is there something else that might do it?
I wish you peace and bellylaughs and copious resources to do everything you need to do.

Wonderful philosophy! As for myself, too old for hedonism (only memories of) sigh. I’m curious though, in the midst of all this glorious play, do you ever take the time to experience Stillness? Just nosy. Keep on keepin’ on.
