Bravo! I have much the same sentiments: what is it going to hurt? And especially what happened to “do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
I am astounded at the outcome of the Prop 8 vote. I always thought this was the most tolerant state in the nation. It’s just sad that people are so fearful, and in most cases they don’t even know of what.
One can only hope that in the end those that voted yes will find it in their hearts to support true equality for all mankind. Love not 8…
I agree with his sentiment. If marriage laws were not rewritten well after slavery then we might as well have slavery.
We need to think of others happiness not our own selfish reasons for denying someone the chance to be happy. 10 to 1 I bet that most gay marriages last longer than oh say Britney Spears two marriages ever did.
I do hope that these people vote with a conscious and vote yes instead of no. I am surprised that California the most liberal state in the union and the one to for the most part show Bush the middle finger on many things that this is an issue.
That was incredibly moving. I just wish I could take his (correct) moral outrage on this at face value. He can say such breathtakingly beautiful, true things about Prop 8 now, but said such hateful, misogynistic claptrap about a certain presidential candidate several months ago.
Lord, Lady, FSM, anybody else…grant me patience with this guy.
Thank you for posting this video - it’s incredibly moving, and I agree with his sentiments. I had hoped to be able to go to one of the rallies protesting Prop 8 this past weekend but had healing training to attend…
